Motorcycle Driver License Information
Special licensing is required for drivers of motorcycles, which will appear as an endorsement on the face of their Florida Driver License; or as a restricted "Motorcycle Only" Florida Driver License.
Florida law requires all motorcycle drivers to complete Motorcycle Safety Education Course from a licensed motorcycle driving school. The course consists of written and driving tests. The cost for the course varies by location and course provider.
Upon completion of the Motorcycle Safety Education Course, the state approved provider will issue a Course Completion Certificate. The Course Completion Certificate must be submitted to our office to obtain a new Driver License with a Motorcycle Endorsement.
