| NOTE: Effective September 1, 2009, most motor vehicle and driver license fees increased significantly. These fee increases were passed by the Florida Legislature and approved by the Governor to help balance the state budget. None of the additional money will stay with Pasco County Government or the Tax Collector's Office. First Issuance of Personalized/Specialty License Plates:

Personalized license plates may be ordered at any of our offices.
There are many types of specialty tags available,
including Manatee, Panther, Collegiate and others. For pictures and descriptions,
see Specialty Tag Information
at the Department of Motor Vehicle web site. The initial tag may be applied for at any time; however, the vehicle must have a current
Florida registration at the time of application. An additional fee is added
to the license plate fee and must be paid each year.

Renewal of Personalized/Specialty License Plates:

You may renew your personalized/specialty license plate at any of our offices.
If your personalized plate is six years old and scheduled to be replaced,
you must apply for renewal no later than two months prior to your
birth month to allow sufficient time for manufacturing.
