| Job Summary: Field Representative |
|
| The Tax Collector for Pasco County, Florida is seeking a Field Representative. This is an opportunity to join a professional team that is committed to providing an exceptionally high level of customer service. The position involves inside and outside countywide field work collecting delinquent taxes and returned checks. |
|
| RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: |
|
| Researches and performs field investigation of delinquent tangible tax accounts, collects delinquent accounts, and prepares and updates account collection sheets. |
|
| Utilizes a computer, physical inspection of various public records, and coordinates with the Property Appraiser's Office to obtain status of and information related to tangible accounts and real estate parcels. |
|
| Serves levy notices, seizes tangible personal property subject to unpaid taxes and assists in arranging and carrying out public sale of the same. |
|
| Performs physical inspection of and photographs real estate parcels subject to Tax Deed Application. Researches Property Appraiser's aerial maps and records. |
|
| Assists in the collection of returned checks. Conducts field visits to rectify office errors. |
|
| Prepares various reports. |
|
| MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: |
|
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma. | |
| One (1) or more years experience in public contact work. |
Good keyboard and computer skills.
|
| PREFER CANDIDATES WITH: |
|
| One (1) or more years experience in the collection of funds and/or investigative work. |
|
| Position is currently based in New Port Richey; duties performed countywide. |
|
| Pay commensurate with experience. |
|
